The WORC program serves:
- Adult women, ages 18+
- Who are within a year of release from incarceration
- Are returning to, or able to access resources in, the Boston metro
The program provides:
- An "intake" specialist to assess a prospective participant's needs as she enters the program
- Assistance obtaining and reading a copy of your Criminal Offender Record Information (CORI)
- Referrals to supportive services (for example, clothing providers, shelters, legal aide)
- One-on-one career counseling and case management
- Referrals to training programs and schools
- Tuition reimbursement to eligible women
- Targeted job development and job search assistance
- Support drafting cover letters and resumes and completing job applications online
- "Transitional" job opportunities
- A professional mentoring component
- Clinical support
- Full membership in and access to the resources at The Work Place One Stop Career Center
